Herb was born in 1933 in the Dexter-Cortland Jewish ghetto of Detroit, in 1933, and overcame a childhood of poverty and hardship to build a successful career as an orthopedic surgeon and a legacy as a father, husband, and person who has dedicated his life to providing and caring for his family and for those in need.
